Before you come.
Arrive so we can see the skin as it is. If we should not go ahead, we would rather say so while you still have your coat on.
Preparation, in this studio, is not a programme. It is a few ordinary courtesies, and a willingness to be turned away. We will not give you a timetable to follow at home, and we will not describe the laser in a way you could try to copy. The device stays here. What follows is how to come to the room, and why some weeks we will ask you to come back later.
The sun, and a tan we will not treat
Tel Aviv in summer is a city of uncovered skin. The beach is a bus ride from Ramat Gan. People finish work and walk the promenade. By July the stairwell on HaRoe holds the heat, and clients arrive a shade darker than the conversation in which we booked them. That colour is a reason to reschedule. Recently sun-warmed skin is skin we prefer not to treat. Noa will look at the area, not at your account of it, and she will very often offer another week.
This is not a punishment and it is not a rule you can calculate. A Saturday at the sea can be enough. A walk that ran long can be enough. A face that caught the afternoon on a cafe terrace can be enough for a facial. We will not hand you a number of days to count down, because the point is the skin in front of us, not a chart. When the colour has settled back toward your own, write again. The diary is built with empty hours in August for exactly this reason. We would rather keep them empty than fill them against our judgement.
If you are unsure, come anyway for the conversation, or send a note that says you have been in the sun. Do not send a photograph. We will either see you and decide, or we will move the hour before you make the trip. A session refused at the door, because the tan is obvious, is not charged.
Scent, oil, and the underarm
Please arrive without perfume on the area we are going to see. Fragrance, a fresh spray of deodorant, and a body oil put on that morning make the skin harder to judge. They are easy to skip for a few hours. Put them on after you are home, and only if the skin feels settled. If the booking is the underarms, skip deodorant that morning. The room is close. We would rather the hour be plain than scented.
Creams you use every day can wait until evening. If a doctor has given you something strong for the face or for acne, do not invent a pause on our account and do not stop it because a website suggested a number of days. Tell us the name. We often refuse the session. The question of whether the medicine itself should change belongs to the person who prescribed it.
Shaving, said gently
For a laser visit, shave the area the evening before. Use a clean blade, go gently, and leave the skin alone overnight. Please do not arrive unshaved, and please do not shave in our washroom over a fresh nick. A small cut is a reason to wait.
In the weeks before a visit, shave rather than wax, sugar, or pluck. Hair that has been pulled out is hair the session cannot meet. We will not turn that sentence into a calendar for you to manage alone. If you waxed recently and you are not sure it matters, say so. We may simply move the hour. Do not shave a beard, a brow, or any hair you intend to keep. The area on the booking is the only area that should be shaved.
For a facial or a brow tidy there is nothing to shave unless we have said otherwise. Come with the face clean of makeup if you can. If you cannot, Yael will clear what she needs. Brows are tidied in the room. You do not prepare them.
What to wear, and what to tell us
Wear something that lets you reach the area without a struggle. We have towels. For legs, shorts or a loose skirt are simpler than tights you have to peel off. For the chest or back, a shirt you can take off is enough. You will not be asked to undress beyond the area.
Tell us, in the note or in the room, if any of these are true: you are pregnant; you take a medicine that affects the skin; the area is irritated, broken, or has a mole you have been watching; you have been in strong sun; you waxed lately; you have had a reaction to a cosmetic session before. None of these is a confession. They are how we decide whether to refuse. Some of them mean we will refuse. That decision is the studio's, and it is allowed to be cautious.
The patch test, for laser, happens at the consultation and not on the day of a full session. We place a small test and we wait. We do not describe how it is done, because it is not yours to repeat. If the skin objects in the days after, you tell us, and we do not proceed. If you are silent and then arrive for a session with a skin that changed, we will stop then instead.
After you leave
The useful advice is short, and it is not a routine. Leave the area alone. Skip perfume on it. Stay out of the hard afternoon sun. Wear something loose so a waistband is not rubbing a fresh area. If the skin worries you, write to the studio or see a doctor. Do not look up settings, and do not experiment with a device at home because an hour here went well or badly. We do not sell that path, and we will not coach it.
Heat, a hard workout, the beach, and a scented product can all wait until the skin feels like itself. If you are not sure, wait a little longer. There is no prize for returning to the promenade the same day.
Questions we are asked
Is the first visit a treatment?
No. The first visit is a consultation. For laser it includes a patch test. The session, if we offer one, is another day. The fee is NIS 170, with VAT included. If we can see at once that we should not treat you, we say so before the hour starts and we do not charge.
What is the patch test for?
It is a small check, done in the room, before any course of visits. We want to see how that skin behaves. We do not treat the whole area on the same day. If you want instructions you could follow yourself, we will not give them. The test belongs to the appointment.
I came from the beach. Will you still see me?
We will see you. We may not treat you. A tan on the area is one of the ordinary reasons we reschedule, especially in a Tel Aviv summer. Come for the conversation if you like, or move the hour before you travel. We would rather keep the relationship than keep the slot.
I take a medicine that affects my skin. Can you approve it?
No. Tell us the name, and expect that we may refuse the session. We will not tell you to stop, pause, or alter a prescription, and we will not give you a waiting period to run at home. If someone needs to interpret the medicine, that person is your doctor.
How many weeks should I leave between sessions?
Often somewhere between four and eight, and longer when the sun has been strong. That is a range we see in the diary, not a prescription, and not a plan to copy. We agree the next hour in the room, after we have looked at the skin. We do not sell a fixed count of visits.
Will the hair be gone for good?
We do not promise that. Many people see slower or finer growth. Some do not. Hair can return. We do not call the result permanent, and we do not show before-and-after photographs as if they were a forecast.
Do you treat women and men?
Both. The menu is the same. Book the area in plain words. Chest, back, face, underarms, bikini, and the full intimate area are all ordinary bookings here.
When should I shave?
The evening before a laser visit, gently, and not in our washroom. In the weeks before, shave rather than wax or pluck. Do not shave hair you mean to keep. If a recent wax makes you unsure, ask, and we may move the hour rather than guess.
Why do you mind perfume?
Scent and oil on the morning of a visit make the skin harder to read, and deodorant on the underarm does the same. Skip them on the area until you are home. It is a small courtesy, not a treatment.
Can you treat a rash, a mole, or acne as a medical problem?
No. We are not a clinic in that sense. A changing mark, a rash, infected skin, or a disease you want named should go to a doctor. We will stop a cosmetic hour if we think that is the errand, and we will not keep a photograph of it.
I am pregnant. Can I book the laser?
No. We do not book laser during pregnancy. Please tell us, including if you are trying and would rather we be cautious. A brow tidy can still be talked about. A facial may be declined. None of this is obstetric advice. Your doctor is the person for that.
Does the form hold my hour, and is VAT included?
The form does not hold an hour. We confirm by message, and until then the slot is free. Saturday is closed. Every price on the menu includes VAT at 18 percent. Payment is taken in the studio, not on this website. The rules for cancellation are in the terms.
